GOLDEN TWENTIES: Celebrate 1920’s musical standards in German and English with vocalist Megan Morrison (from last year's successful Marlene Cabaret); Karen Lee-Morlang returns as the musical director and pianist and Terry Costa hosts the event.
OPERETTA: A revue of top operetta's showcasing favorite pieces by Gilbert and Sullivan, Johann Strauss Jr. and Franz Lehar, with Joel Klein (baritone) and Katy Hedalen (soprano).
PURELY CABARET: Welcome to the cabaret! Fresh from Germany, and before her Eastern-Canada tour, we are proud to have Lindsay Sutherland Boal for this special trip to the seedy, underground cabarets
"The upstairs ballroom of the Vancouver Alpen Club is a trip back in time. Complete with enormous wrought iron candelabras, a sprung (but creaky) dance floor, and some faux gables and gingerbread over the stage, it provided a very atmospheric venue for Purely Cabaret. Now add in a pocket stage complete with a pendant-style street lamp, upright piano, and the back and forth of wait staff.
