From the original 158 contestants, 81 completed the official registration and qualified for auditions. Level I was attended by 40 model contestants on January 20th. LEVEL II happened Sunday January 27th with 25 contestants in the run... and TOP 12 was chosen!

25 Semi-Finalists
|
Sunday, January 27th, our semi-finalists will be treated to an all day of workshops, special guests and begin the process to choose the TOP 12 finalists. All model contestants were asked to submit up to 50-words bio - as you can see below, some did not follow directions! The photos here were taken by our photographer Adam Wojtowicz, as the contestants walked in to the audition room. In alphabetical order, by first name, we present to you the 25 SEMI-FINALISTS; they are all one step closer to become... Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model:

Christopher Novak

Christopher was raised a farm boy, a few hours west of Winnipeg. He left his rustic roots to study Drama and English Lit at the University of Manitoba, and was attracted by the city lights of Toronto after graduation. Unwilling to continue enduring harsh winters, he chose to advance his retail career on the rainy, but far more relaxed west coast. He soon discovered Vancouver offered a perfect balance between cosmopolitan living and outdoor tranquility.

Submission guidelines:
QUALIFICATIONS: in order to participate, contestants must be male, 19+ years of age, gay and live in Greater Vancouver region (at least during January to June 2008).
If you qualify and want to be a model contestant, you must register to audition. Send an email with your contact info and a photo to info[at]mirateca[dot]com - email
All model contestants will be contacted with further instructions. Gatherings (meeting/rehearsal) will happen during the months of January-February (SEE DATES ABOVE) with a final public presentation show at Celebrities Nightclub - March 6, 2008. Model contestants must download, print and sign the RULES document (available on this page); Bring this signed document to the first workshop: Sunday, January 20, 2008 @ 2pm Celebrities Nightclub.
