His debut CD Come Show Your Face was released to rave reviews in 2006. Armstrong Jr. is currently in the final stages of production on his self-titled sophomore album set for release in 2008. His latest project is definitively more grown up that his previous work lending itself to a more musically diverse spectrum of sounds. A Jr. has chosen to draw on the influences of Blues, Classical and choral Music for this compilation and tie it all together with his unique brand of electronic Armstrong Jr. production. When stepping out from behind the mixing board and taking to the stage, A Jr. finds himself in his element in front of his audiences including Pride Festivals and club performances. A Jr. had the privilege to work with Jerome Mandrake as co-writer and producer of his debut CD entitled Affirmation. Having completed work on his collaborative projects A Jr.'s focus on his solo work is stronger than ever. From being an Xtra West cover story to opening up for Crystal Waters and Deborah Cox, Armstrong Jr. continues to deliver on stage and in the studio for his fans.www.armstrongjr.com
Original Compositions: Vancouver's Next Gay Top Model LIVE SHOW will include performances by Armstrong Jr., Jerome Mandrake and Suzka composed by Armstrong Jr. Also, "Gonna Be The Next Top Model" composed by Armstrong Jr., with lyrics by Jerome Mandrake with Suzka and Diana David will open the theatrical event with a lavish production number; "Can-Aussie" embraces the sounds of the didjeridu for the special presention of the clothing from our major partner aussieBum; an original soundtrack of music to be proud of!

The search: When the VNGTM project was announced, a search for a promotional piece of music began through the friendly site myspace. From around the world, 16 artists submitted material and the winner was chosen; from Australia, we proudly present Ian Starr and "Money".
Australian born, of Greek and Swedish heritage, Ian Starr career started with ballet and singing at the young age of five followed by a series of McDonald’s commercials and various TV shows. Gaining many awards for his entertaining talents Ian was cast in various Australian stage shows alongside many of the industries best. At the age of 14, Ian recorded his first demo. By the age of 17 Ian created his own music management company. His first act was an all girl group called Fever, and then he went on to be a dance and vocal teacher for the Australian The Spiced Girls. In 2000 Ian became a part of the Australian/New Zealand boy band DboyZ followed by BOYSTAR with 301Records in Sydney - under the guidance of Australia’s best manager Micheal Browning (INXS, AC/DC). Since the group was terminated Ian has been performing and creating music on a solo basis. In 2008 he will be recording a new Classical/pop album. He’s proud to have Serbia’s girl band Models do a cover of his song “Money” and that the song has also been chosen as the official theme of Vancouver’s Next Gay Top Model. you can visit Ian Starr on myspace.
