HOT GAY DJ LAUNCH – DAVIE VILLAGE TOUR was a tremendously successful awesome night this past Thursday, June 3rd. Thanks to everyone who participated, voted and visited all of our 5 participating venues: 1181, Celebrities Nightclub, J Lounge, Oasis and Score. It was an exciting night with the DJ contestants playing short sets at various venues and some surprise voguers, hip-hop dancers, latin dancers, gogo dancers, some nearly naked scenes and special lighting effects all being added to the mix! Also, the producers tried something different in not making the cover mandatory; but, only those holding HOT GAY DJ PASSES could vote!

We have now received official jury scores and comments for this first leg of the competition - we’ll publish some of the comments soon on the website http://www.hotgaydj.com/ And, we have also counted your votes; 428 valid votes were submitted and the winner of the first-round of HOT GAY DJ in the “Most Popular Audience Vote” category is… a tie; to celebrate, both DJs will join forces and throw a party on Thursday, July 1st.

$10 limited advance tickets contain a DRINK TICKET attached to it and they will be available at Little Sister’s Bookstore as of this Friday.

The next step for our Internet audiences is to vote in the HOT GAY DJ “facebook popular vote”; all members of the Mirateca Arts facebook group will have a chance to vote for their favourite DJ. Join at: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=28931177350 and details will be available in a month.

Also, do not forget the grand finale of the competition will happen on Monday, August 2nd (Holiday/Pride) starting at 12noon at J Lounge (2 indoor rooms and one outdoor/patio); join the facebook event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=262077353771 Tickets are $10 for the all day event and available at Little Sister’s Bookstore as of this Friday. These tickets also count as a vote for your favourite DJ.
